Genetic Testing

The institute and its diagnostics department will be closed on 1 February 2025. For this reason, we will no longer be offering all diagnostic tests as usual. Please contact us if you have any questions!

The diagnostic unit of the Institute of Medical Molecular Genetics is approved for clinical genetic testing by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and is accredited since January 10th 2020 according to ISO17025:2017. We offer genetic testing for monogenic (Mendelian), familial diseases.

Genetic testing requires informed consent. Please complete the respective consent form for genetic testing of the Swiss Society of Medical Genetics and send it together with the blood, tissue or DNA sample. The consent form is available in French and English language (SSMG).
